Day 2:

Problem statement:

To construct a bowling machine.

Participating teams need to construct a machine that can bowl accurately and hit the stumps, using the given materials.

It should not be a hand held machine, i.e. the machine should be able to hold the ball without human intervention until it is triggered to release it.

A triggering mechanism should be made to throw the ball.

Evaluation criteria:

It will be a simple bowl-out situation with a twist!

Every team will get 3 deliveries.

Hitting the stumps will fetch you + 5 points,

If your first bounce is in the "good length area" you get + 2 points,

Every additional bounce will attract a penalty of - 1 points to the maximum of - 4.

Every wide delivery will also get a - 1.

Each team will get a max of 2 minutes to complete its semi-over (3 deliveries), every extra minute will attract a penalty of -1 points.

Points earned after each delivery will be added to get the total points and it shall be the only criteria for evaluation.
