Particulars for the c3 Event:

• The participants should confirm with the event managers as to whether they are using any design softwares and if yes, what all.
• Please bring your college id cards.
• The presentation and the software (if included) are to be brought in a cd or a pen drive.
• The format of presentation should be either in .pdf or .ppt
• The participant must compulsorily bring hard copies of the abstract.
• The students are advised to be present 30 min prior to commencement of the event.

Problem Statement

Design a car that has a concept for the future, upholding the key values of the 21st century.

Event format

• The event comprises of 2 rounds.
• Firstly an abstract written briefly, containing all the details of the concept with required illustrations have to be submitted prior as per the date specified in the event site.
• Based on quality of the concepts and its relevance, the participants will be shortlisted for the final.
• The final round will be an on-stage presentation of the concept presided by a panel of eminent judges.

Prelims

Upload a writeup(doc/pdf)about the concept of the vehicle with required illustrations. Deadline for uploading your abstracts is 3rd February

The write up should include:

• Description of the concept and its detailed working.
• Sufficient technical points to support ideas proposed.
• Sketches(Hand drawn/on modelling softwares) to illustrate the concepts and related details with a general layout of the vehicle that accounts for the placement of the essentials.

Note: Font size 12 is to be used in abstract. The abstract should not exceed 1500 words.

Finals

The final round will be On-stage presentation of the concept.

Guidelines for the Design:

• Concept for the future, upholding the key values of the 21st century.
• Practical utility and relevance in the present automobile industry.
• Scope of concepts in addressing the present day concerns of Indian automobile industry and traffic like safety problems, road congestion, parking issues etc will be acknowledged.
• Sufficient technical points to support ideas proposed.
• Attention must be given to illustrate the concepts and related details pertinently along with a general lay out of the vehicle that accounts for the placement of the essentials.

Rules

• Maximum of 3 members per team.
• Only one entry from each team.
• The duration of the presentation is not to exceed 10 mins and shall be followed by a question session.
• Any software(should be confirmed with the organizers before hand) or hand drawn sketches may be used for the presentation.

Judging Criteria

• Unique primary function / concept of the vehicle.
• Innovative features incorporated.
• Practical relevance.
• Aesthetic appeal.
• Effectiveness of the presentation.
