Hot wired a Merc S-Class or even an Ambassador?

Short circuited the microwave?

Or simply gotten a shock while fiddling with the fuse?

If yes to any of these then this event is yours for the taking! Simple yet dynamic circuits form the heartbeat of every little electronic gadget out there. So here at Pragyan we empower you to go berserk and short circuit the lines between analog and digital with the tools of theoretical classiness and practical deftness as you design and implement radical circuits with the hardware provided.

Prelims

There will be two phases of online prelims
  • Those who have attended Prelims Phase 1 and have not been shortlisted, may attend Prelims Phase 2.
  • Prelims Phase 1 will be held between 20-21 January
  • Prelims Phase 2 will be held between 30-31 January
  • Instructions for prelims.

Prelims Phase 1 Results out now.

Prelims Phase 2 Results out now.

Registrations closed.

Event Format
  • The first round will be online  and analyse the practical implementation and aptitude of the participating team theoritically.
  • On campus consists of 2 rounds
    • Teams shortlisted from the online round will be given a problem to be solved theoritically in a specific time period by a list of given components (ie. IC, resistors, capacitors, switches etc.)
    • Selected teams from the above round will be asked to implement the circuit practically in the lab.

Prelims

There will be two phases of online prelims
  • You may attend any one of the two phases.
  • Prelims phase 1 will be held between 20-21 January
  • Prelims phase 2 will be held between 30-31 January
  • Instructions for prelims.
The online prelims will be for duration of one hour. The participants can participate any time during the prelims timing. However they will have to take the quiz in a single sitting of one hour.

Shortlisting Factors for final round:

  • No component should be used from outside the list provided.
  • Compatibility of implementing the circuit practically.
  • Robustness, efficiency of circuit will be considered in case of a tie.

The final round will be held in NIT TRICHY's electronics lab.

The teams will be provided with all the component mentioned in the list.

Judging Criteria

  • Working of the circuit.
  • The proximity of the practical implementation to that of the theoretical design.
  • Time, efficiency.
Rules & Regulations
  • A team cannot consist of more than 3 members.
  • Prior registration is required for participating in the event.
  • The decision of the judges will be final.
  • Instructions for first phase of prelims.
