Dr. Sujatha Ramdorai is a Professor at the School of Mathematics, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR). She has held visiting positions in several universities and top research institutions around the world such as the Ohio State University, US and Max-Planck Institute, Germany. She is also a distinguished member of National Knowledge Commission (NKC) set up by the Government of India.
She is the recipient of the prestigious Ramanujam Prize awarded by the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP),Trieste, Italy. Other honours include Indian National Science Academy Young Scientist Award, Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Award for Mathematical Sciences, Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship etc.
She has been involved with issues related to education and research, especially research in the pure sciences in India.
