You believe you can move the whole of earth with just an inconsequential stick as a lever and a wedge as a pivot? If yes, this event is for you. Sanrachana is an on-the-spot event. It tests your resourcefulness and creativity, in being able to build a simple model using common stuff that you come across everyday. Things like icecream sticks, straws, balloons etc., would have to be used to make the models. The models should perform certain tasks, based on the performance of which the winner would be chosen. And remember, you need absolutely no prior preparation for this event!

• Sanrachana will be a team event with three members per team.
• It will be conducted on all three days of Pragyan '10.
• The model to be built and the task it has to perform will be specified on the day of the event.
• Teams will be given the material for making the model and sufficient time to build their models before evaluating them.
• The teams will be given a single attempt to use their model and perform the task.
• The criteria for judging will depend on the task to be performed and will be declared on the day of the event.
• Some of the probable criteria could be weight of the model, time taken to perform the task etc.

• The teams should use only the provided material to build the model.
• The teams will not be given a second attempt to better their performance.
• The declared judging criteria would be final and will not be subject to changes.
