Subramanian Vincent

Subramaniam Vincent, a telecommunications professional, is the co-founder of India Together and one of the lead editors of this publication. He is also the co-founder of Oorvani Media, the publisher of Citizen Matters, a local news e-publication for Bangalore. His belief is that the original purpose of journalism is to provide information to citizens so that they may be free and self-governing.

He also undertakes select consulting projects in the technology/development sphere. He has helped conduct India's first ever industry study of Wi-Fi technology, its opportunities and challenges, with Tonse Telecom, a Bangalore-based research and analysis firm.

During 2005-2006, he consulted with Cornell University's Center for Sustainable Global Enterprise on online journalism for Base of the Pyramid (BOP) projects.

He is an alumnus of NIT Trichy and University of Southern California.
