Flex

Adobe Flex is a software development kit released by Adobe Systems to develop and deploy Rich Internet Applications. Adobe Flex helps you to create visually enhanced applications which are extremely interactive for your web-page. With Flex, you can say good-bye to long, painstaking HTML coding.

Adobe Flex is based on the famous Flash (again, a product of Adobe Systems) platform that has re-defined the power of Internet.

Flex provides users with framework of classes including visual components (e.g.: button, date-field, image, video etc.) with an extensive list of properties for each of them. It also supports two programming languages, MXML for ease of defining visual layout and ActionScript for the business logic.

Easy implementation of transitions and animations makes the application appealing and helps users to understand data and application flow. Support for rich media in Flex applications enriches the user experience. Compatibility with JavaScript helps take client-side computing to the next level. Adobe Flex can find applications in industries where web acts as keystone and user experience is a driving factor. It can be entertainment sector, e-commerce, even financial services can make very good use of Flex to enhance the quality of service.
