BankJob is Pragyan's Image Processing event. The task is to build an autonomous bot that can "collect money from the bank". On the arena, there will be one red(representing Rs.100), one yellow(Rs.20) circle and one green circle(Rs. 10).

Parking your bot on the circles to collect money. Be the fastest to collect the amount to win.

The components required to make the bot are provided by us to the participants for FREE!!!

They will be sent to the address provided to you following your abstract submission.

The Task
1. Each coloured circle represents a note of cash. Red – Rs. 100, Yellow – Rs. 20, Green – Rs. 10. (Each is a circle of 25 cm diameter)
2. First, your team is given 15 mins for calibration of colours and distances. The bot will not be allowed to move on the arena. You can however manually place your bot at different points on the arena.
3. Then, the amount you should collect from our bank is informed. Example Rs. 180
4. The 30cm X 30cm black box you see in the bottom right corner is the Deposition Center. The bot starts its run from here. We will start the timer the moment your bot starts moving.
5. The bot has to park on a colored circle for a minimum of 3 seconds to collect the note. Parking: All the wheels of the bot should be within the circle for three seconds. The bot should not move during the three seconds. Violation of this rule is considered as a penalty(see Point 2 under Scoring)
6. Your bot can carry only two notes at a time. Before you collect your third note, you should deposit your first two notes at the Deposition Center. When all your bot's wheels are inside the black box, the money has been deposited. It is not necessary to the park the bot/stop the bot in the black box. However, for collecting a note, you have to park the bot in the colored circle for three seconds.
7. Once you have picked a note and moved out of the circle, it is replaced by a new note of the same denomination immedietely. So, if you want to pick two notes of the same denomination, you can collect the first note, move completely out of the coloured circle, and park on the circle again for another 3 seconds to collect another note.
8. The timer will be stopped, when the bot parks in the deposition center
9. The amount to collect from the bank will be different for each team. However, the minimum number of notes required to be collected will be uniform for all teams. For example, Rs. 180 needs minimum 5 notes, 1X100, 4X80. Rs. 90 also needs a minimum of 5 notes; 4X20, 1X10.
10. The centre of the three circles will be equidistant from the center of the deposition center. The order of the coloured circles will be : clockwise from bottom left of the arena- green, red, yellow.

Event Format
1. Every team is given 15 mins for calibrating colors and distances. The bot will not be allowed to move on the arena. You can however manually place your bot at different points on the arena.
2. The team will be given a minimum of 10 minutes after the calibration to begin their first run.
3. Each team will get 3 runs. The score and time of each run will be noted. The run with the best score will be considered for final ranking.
4. Every team will have a minimum of 20 minutes gap between each run.

Scoring
1. Deficit: In the event of your bot not moving for 10 seconds, the timer is stopped.
Deficit = Target amount - Amount in the deposition center when timer is stopped
For example,  if the bot had already deposited Rs. 120, and the target was Rs. 180, the deficit is Rs. 60.
2. If the bot deposits more than the target, that money is considered as “excess”.
For example, if the target is Rs. 90, we need 4X20, and 1X10. The bot has already deposited Rs. 80. During its final collection, it picks a Rs 20 note instead of a Rs. 10 note. Now the excess is Rs. 10.
3. The following two violations will be considered as the above mentioned “penalties”
   1. Run over a circle without stopping for 3 seconds. “Run over” : If any wheel enters a circle, but violates rule 5 under “The Task”, it is considered      as a “run over”.
   2. Every note collected when your pockets are full(already collected two notes) is counted as one penalty each.
4. Points = 1000 – 5*Deficit – 2*Excess - 50*number of penalties

5. Time: Time is used to rank teams whose points are tied.
   1. Timer is  started the moment the bot starts moving
   2. The timer is stopped when
        1. the Deposition Center  has money equal to or more than the target amount.
        2. The bot refuses to move for more than 10 seconds
        3. Shortest time is given less priority than Points scored. The team with maximum points will win even if it does not have the shortest time. Time is considered only when there is a tie between two teams that have scored the same points.

The components requiered to make the bot are provided by us to the participants for FREE!!!
It is compulsory for the participants to use the componenets provided.

They will be sent to the address provided to you following your abstract submission.

Robot Specifications
1. The dimensions should not exceed 25x25x25cm. The dimensions will be checked before the event. Bigger bots will not be allowed to participate.
2. Once the timer starts, i.e. the bot starts moving, the participants are not allowed to touch the bot, or the laptop. If event managers feel that the bot is being manipulated in any way, the run will be cancelled.
3. The bot is allowed to have a wired connection with a laptop. Please ensure that wires of sufficient length are used to allow free movement of the bot within the arena. A table will be provided, just next to the arena, to keep the laptop. Power supply will be provided.
4. The power supply of the bot (for motors) must be on board.External powering through AC to DC adaptors are not allowed. Violation of this rule will be considered as a “penalty”, i.e. reduction of 50 points. The voltage between any two points must not exceed 12V.
5. Any bots which are found to be damaging the arena will be disqualified immediately.

Eligibility
