Process Simulation with ASPEN Hysys

Process simulation is a model-based representation of chemical, physical, biological, and other technical processes and unit operations in software. Basic prerequisites are a thorough knowledge of chemical and physical properties of pure components and mixtures, of reactions, and of mathematical models which, in combination, allow the calculation of a process in computers.

A strong focus on process design is supported by a team of highly qualified and motivated engineers with a thorough understanding of the fundamental principles of chemical, mechanical, structural and civil engineering.

CHEMSYS, a company specializing in this area, has set itself apart from the competition thanks to its innovative approach to problem-solving and its commitment to realizing and exceeding its client's expectations.

The following topics will be covered in this workshop:

  • Introduction to Oil & Gas industries, Chemical industries, Process simulations, EOS, Thermodynamic property packages.
  • Operating and flow sheeting of various unit operations in HYSYS simulation environment. Such as Pumps, Compressors, Expander, Heat exchangers, Flash Separators & Absorbers.
  • Introduce Aspen HYSYS column models and templates, Use the Input Expert to add and define a distillation column, Add and manipulate column specifications to meet process objectives. Hands-on Practice Session.
