The National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirapalli is one of the elite engineering institutes of India ranked consistently amongst the top 10 educational institutes of the country. Set in the historical town of Trichy, Tamil Nadu, the college is known for providing exemplary education within and beyond the the curriculum to students from diverse backgrounds belonging to different parts of India and even the world.

Pragyan is the brainchild of this collection of brightest minds in India. Conceived in 2005 as a platform for engineering students to showcase their skills and knowledge in fun, practical and innovative ways, in just 10 years, Pragyan has grown from a tech-fest to an technical organization of international magnitude holding ISO certifications for quality and sustainable event management. Pragyan also has the UNESCO Patronage for its 2014 edition.

Entering into its thirteenth year in 2017, Pragyan’17 will be a testament to over a decade of celebrating technology. This year will only continue to expand on the success of previous editions and create milestones of its own.

Previous editions of Pragyan saw participation from 300+ colleges in India as well as abroad. Pragyan’17 will prove that its basic ideals and values, that technology is for everyone to celebrate, hold true even a decade later and will continue to be a guiding moral for Pragyan in the years to come.
