3X3:

  • Time limit: 10 minutes
  • The solvable 3x3x3 Rubik’s cube has 43,252,003,274,489,856,000 (~ 43 quintillions) permutations, of which only one is the solved cube. This is what makes such events fascinating! Here, the event involves solving the Rubik’s cube using a sequential set of moves.

 

3OH:

  • Time limit: 5 minutes
  • The event involves solving the Rubik’s cube with a single hand (of your convenience) using a sequential set of moves.

 

4X4:

  • Time limit: 4 minutes
  • The event involves solving the 4x4x4 cube using a sequential set of moves.

 

SQUARE 1:

  • Time limit: 5 minutes
  • The Square 1 is a special variant of the Rubik’s cube which assumes twisted confirmations when it is twisted, due to its cut, thus, adding an extra level of challenge and difficulty. The event involves solving the Square -1 using a sequential set of moves.

 

RUBIK’S CLOCK:

  • Time limit: 2 minutes
  • The Rubik’s clock is a two-sided mechanical puzzle, each presenting nine clocks to the puzzler. The aim of the puzzle is to set all nine clocks on both sides to 12’o clock simultaneously.

JUDGING CRITERIA:

Every participant will be supervised by an individual judge. Each participant will get an inspection time of 15 seconds prior to the solve, which will intimated by the judge during the event. The judge’s decision is final.

There is a competitor limit of 150 competitors. 
The base registration fee for this competition is ₹200 (Indian Rupee). 
Registration fees won't be refunded under any circumstance. 
No on the spot registrations will be accepted. 
Spectators can attend for free. 
 

Steps to complete online registration
Step 1 - Register here by selecting the events you want to participate in.
Step 2 - Register on the Pragyan website with the same email address that you used for your WCA account. If you are not a college student, leave the "Degree you are pursuing" field blank, mark the "Year of Study" as Other, "Name of Institution" as Other.
Step 3 - Pay the registration amount here. The amount is fixed for all participants and doesn't depend on the amount of events registered for. Again, make sure you provide the same email address as in the previous two steps.

Registrations will only be approved once all 3 steps above have been completed.

Notes
1. The amount paid is a security deposit. This means that the entire amount will be refunded to you once the competition is over provided you attend the competition. No refunds will be given to the people failing to turn up for the competition in person.
2. If you fail to do online payment before registration closes, you won't be able to participate even if you had registered in WCA.
3. You can't change the events once the registration closes.

F.A.Q:

Ques: Can I change/remove the events I've registered for?

Ans: No, changing/removing events after your registration is approved is not allowed.

 

Ques: What are the rules of this event?

Ans: The competition follows the WCA Regulations

 

Ques: Do I use my own cube to compete?
Ans: YES! You are responsible for your own hardware in order to compete. This means you should bring your own cube.

 

Ques:  What is the normal age of competitors at these events?
Ans: All ages are welcome, but in general competitors are between 10 and 20 years old. Don't let this stop you though, everyone can and should cube!

 

Ques: How do I find results?
Ans:  All results are posted on the WCA page within a week after the competition finishes. However, for the day of competing, go to Cubecomps.com to find information about current events. This is also where you will find information about upcoming rounds of events. Remember, the results are entered by a human so please be patient if you do not see your results immediately.

 

Ques: Are there age divisions?
Ans: Nope! All competitors compete together.

 

Ques: I want to attend, or I have friends/family who want to attend, but not compete. Do they need to pay as well?
Ans: No. All spectators are free to view the competition at no cost. There is payment only to compete. But in some cases, venue will be having restriction to allow spectators depending on the competition.

 

Ques: Can I have fun at this event?
