Dr P. G. Diwakar, Deputy Director, RSAA, NRSC is a Doctorate in Participatory Geomatics from National Institute of Technology (NIT). From being the Director, Earth Observation Systems, Member Secretary, Planning Committee – National Natural Resources Management System to heading Disaster Management Support Program in the Indian Space Research Organisation, as its Programme Director, he has had a very illustrious and diverse career. He has been instrumental in delivering important application based solutions such as Bhuvan Web Portal and IT tools for Sujala Watershed Development Programme.

A recipient of the ISRO awards, he has gained national and international recognition for innovative use of IT and geospatial technologies. With numerous research projects under his belt, he is hailed by many as an expert in the field of  Geographic Information Set.
