1) From when can I avail my allotted accommodation?
From 12th March 2020, 07:00 p.m.
2) What are the documents that I am required to bring?
It is mandatory to bring your College ID card. The mail confirming your accommodation can either be printed out or shown on your smartphone. You will also be required to show the QR code you get for your profile upon signing in or registering on the Pragyan '20 app (which will be updated soon).
3) When will my accommodation get confirmed?
Once you have registered, paid and received the confirmation mail.
4) If my accommodation does not get confirmed, can I avail facilities outside the campus?
Yes, you are free to choose from any of the alternative accommodations available. Please note that the cost of accommodation will not be borne by Pragyan.
5) Does the accommodation charge include food?
No, it does not. However, you can make use of the messes or food stalls available during Pragyan, at your own expense.
6) When do I have to vacate my allotted accommodation?
You are required to vacate, at the latest, by 05:00 p.m. on the 15th of March 2020.
7) Can I register for accommodation without registering on the Pragyan website?
No, you need a valid Pragyan ID to register for accommodation.
8) When will I get my caution deposit back?
The caution deposit will be refunded at the time of vacating the accommodation, provided participants return the air pillow, and there is no overstay or damage to the room or any other college property. This is solely at the discretion of Team Pragyan 2020.
9) Can I vacate earlier than the registered date?
Yes, but the money paid for the extra day(s) will not be refunded.
10) Does workshop registration entitle accommodation as well?
No, you need to register separately for accommodation.
11) Can I cancel accommodation after registering?
Yes, but there will be no refunds.
12) Whom should I approach for accommodation on arrival?
You have to report at the PR and Hospitality desk situated at the Security Office in front of the Administrative Block.
13) Will accommodation be provided if I arrive late in the night?
Yes, but it would be preferable to have girls arrive before 10:00 p.m.
14) On what basis will accommodation be confirmed?
For online registrations, accommodation will be confirmed on payment. For on-spot registrations, accommodation is provided on a first-come-first-serve basis and the regional proximity of the participant to NIT Trichy.
15) Can we book for accommodation in advance, in case many of us belonging to the same college are coming to Pragyan?
Yes, but only for groups with a minimum number of 50 students. Mail us at accommodation@pragyan.org with the following details:
- Name of the representative
- Name of the college/institution
- Contact number of representative
- Number of boys
- Number of girls
- Date and time of check-in
- Date and time of check-out
- Availing pick-up/drop facility from Bus Stand or Railway Station to NIT Trichy? (Yes/No)
- E-mail IDs of all students (should be registered in pragyan.org)
